RegulatorIndex (“we”, “us”) publishes public utility commission directory data and the PUC Watch briefing. This policy explains what information we collect and how it is used.
Information we collect
When you subscribe to PUC Watch, create an account, or contact us, we collect the information you provide directly — typically your name and email address. We also collect limited first-party analytics data such as pages visited, public entity identifiers, referring category, search-query length, result count, and interactions with sources, newsletter forms, account flows, and StatecraftCRM links.
How we use it
We use your information to deliver the PUC Watch briefing, operate accounts, respond to inquiries, and improve the site. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
Third-party services
We rely on third-party providers for email delivery and historical payment processing. RegulatorIndex analytics uses a first-party event endpoint when enabled. It does not set analytics cookies or use local storage, advertising pixels, session replay, fingerprinting, or precise geolocation. Analytics events do not include email addresses, passwords, reset tokens, correction text, payment data, raw directory search text, IP addresses, user-agent histories, or user/session identifiers. We store daily aggregate event counts with controlled public-page and public-entity dimensions, not raw events or individual behavior histories. Daily aggregates are retained for up to 24 months and are available only through local operator reporting. Counts represent activity, not unique people.
Your choices
You can unsubscribe from PUC Watch at any time using the link in any email, or request deletion of your data by contacting us below. Browser privacy controls that block JavaScript or analytics requests may prevent first-party interaction measurement without affecting access to public content.
